Am I only used for cleaning? No, I want more than that! Use me more often! I want to be like any other tool humans use ; maybe that's what a broom has in mind.

Every time we use it to sweep something. But we no longer use it for anything else until something needs to be swept away again.

Inspired by day-to-day tools and their uses. We try to imagine what if they lived life the way humans do. To see from their perspective how they see us while questioning their existence and how they feel when replaced by other tools with the same purpose. Let's see together the story of broomsticks and humans in the form of a puppet theater performance.

Bon puppet is a puppet theater troupe founded in 2019 in Bandung, Indonesia. This troupe was initiated by a group of students majoring in theater and fine arts and alumni from ISBI Bandung. 

Bon Puppet troupe is intended to be a vessel for various art disciplines to come together, especially for the visual arts and theater.

Bon, which stands for be on nothing, meaning to become something that sprouts out of nothingness, is the spirit of our creation that cannot be bound by any shackles or limitations.

Bon Puppet troupe has made several shows, namely Bon and his cardboard world and Overruled rule, in 2019. Our latest collaboration with the capital art space produced a puppet theater performance based on a reconstructed script of Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett. Bon Puppet was selected to perform at the 29th International Children's theater festival in Subotica, Serbia, in September 2022.
