Lumen is a light puppet. He becomes the leader of the other puppets because he is a hero. He has a precise move in the form of light. But somehow, his moves slowly begin to fade.

One day, a giant laugh is heard. The entire village is boisterous and panicked by his voice. The giant plans to attack the villagers and destroy the whole village. Lumen searches for a thousand ways to fight the giant. He has made all the efforts, and then he remembers his father’s message: That there is a blue toad that can give him strength. Lumen and the villagers gather to look for the blue toad to help them fight the giant.

Kacak Kicak Puppet Theater is a puppetry company based in Denpasar, Bali. The group reworks several less popular Balinese folk tales, such as the Men Brayut story by I Nengah Tinggen, to become puppetry performances. Kacak Kicak is also actively engaging in collaborative performances with children in several villages in Bali.
