Description

Duration: 45 minutes

Synopsis

From a long, long time ago, living things are born of mothers and become mothers. It repeats and repeats all the time. I am a leaf, a flower, and all living things. Living things live and die on this planet over and over again. And death makes the earth and keeps me alive.

SONGS FOR US TO MEET is a non verbal performance which combines puppetry, live music, and live cinema conducted by Papermoon Puppet Theatre and Usaginingen.

Inspired by their first meeting in Yogya, followed by a 3 week residency period of Papermoon in Teshima, Papermoon and Usaginingen would love to celebrate their journey of being an artist's family. The artistic process was driven by the washi paper as materials, the exploration of music, visuals, and also the children's play.

SONGS FOR US TO MEET is a commissioned work by La forêt’, Japan.
