The combination of visual theatre and stage experimentation guides “Ayah” to find light among a vague world. The world that is filled with choices.

Artist Profile

SEKAT Studio is a collective that explores the idea and practice of “haunting” by experimenting with the medium of objects. Founded in 2017, the collective started as a haunted house community engaged in creating the installations.

In its development, SEKAT Studio has produced several performance works such as Si Mata Besar dan Si Mulut Besar , adaptation of the illustrated story Velkooký, Velkoústý ; “Identikit,” which explored nonverbal play; also theater for young audiences entitled Trektrek dan Lapangan Bintang . The works were performed at several festivals such as Gulali Festival, Pesta Boneka, Helateater Salihara, Festival Dongeng Internasional Indonesia, & TERAP Festival.
