Uçaneller Puppet workshop is designed for children. In the workshop, puppets created by our design team are made with the children. After painting the puppet parts, the children learn to assemble and operate the puppets with the help of instructors. The workshop activities are aimed at enhancing children’s manual skills, enriching their imaginative world, teaching teamwork, building self-confidence, and fostering creativity.
Artist Profile
Uçaneller Kuklaevi was established in 2004 by Mesut Sarioglu. Uçaneller incorporated various methods of puppetry into their shows and worked with world-class directors and designers. Having had 18 unique shows in their arsenal, Ucaneller has participated in more than 100 international festivals.
The group has added in France Le Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnettes to their resume which includes festivals from Italy, France, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Tunisia, Morocco, Macedonia, Moldavia South Korea, India,Iran, Meksika, Colombia,Ukrania and etc. In both national and international festivals, Uçaneller proudly represented her hometown and was deemed worthy of many awards.
In 2010, “Günisini”, the group's first show, was selected as “the best show” by the public jury and children's jury in Ukraine. Also, in 2011, it won “the best show” award in a competition arranged by ASSITEJ Turkey and Sahne Magazine. In the following year, the group won “the best design” with “Bak Ne Kadar Kolay” and “The Best Scenario’ with “Yalniz Degilsin” in the same competition. In 2013, Uçaneller was named as “The Best Children Theatre” by Dileklerarasi Audience Jury. In 2017, “Tas” was selected as “best puppet management and animation” in 16th Banja Luka Children Festival. In 2022 Our performance Günisini won Special Juri Awards In Banja Luka and another performance ‘The Ugly Duckling‘ won Festival Grand Prix by International Fitij Festival in Dominican Republic.
